Emmett Till’s Family Wants Mountain Dew To Drop Lil’ Wayne

Lil Wayne Mountain Dew

Y’all gon’ learn today!!!

It looks like the days of rappers spitting inappropriate lyrics with no consequences may be coming to an end.  I seriously doubt it, but after Rick Ross lost is endorsement deal with Reebok over his date rape lyrics in Rocko’s song “U.O.E.N.O.” I think some rappers may have had a wake up call.

Lil’ Wayne is now in the line of fire for some lyrics he rapped not long ago.  On Future’s song “Karate Chop,” Lil’ Wayne said, “beat the p**** up like Emmett Till”.   Obviously, that didn’t sit well with the family of Emmett Till who are now going after Lil’ Wayne and his endorsement deal with Mountain Dew after not receiving a formal apology.

The family spoke exclusively to

Since, the rapper has not apologized, the Till family have told exclusively that they intend to pressure Lil Wayne’s sponsors, namely Mountain Dew.

Shortly, the Till Family are expected to make offensive moves forward to further address Wayne and Mountain Dew, a product of PepsiCo. A similar tactic by women’s group UltraViolet resulted in Reebok dropping Rick Ross from their campaign.

This really makes me wonder if Lil’ Wayne and Rick Ross had just apologized right away, would all of this have been prevented?
